Position Summary:
Job includes but is not limited to: Accurately picking orders to be staged for outbound shipments. Picking orders for customer will call orders, keeping work areas clean and orderly, maintaining, inspecting and submitting forklift records. Help with the performance of inventory counts to assure accuracy of product base. Report any damaged goods to supervisor for removal.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Scan’s location and pulls product using RF Scanner to fulfill customer orders in a safe and effective manner.
· Ensures all units are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
· Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
· Places completed and labelled order into designated area once order is fulfilled.
· Maintains a clean work area, sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, etc.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
AND 1 year experience in forklift operations
Preferred Qualifications:
1 Year experience in a warehouse setting operating a fork truck
1 Year experience in a warehouse setting compiling orders for delivery
1 Year experience in a trade directly related to this department
Physical Requirements
Job Functions: The ability to read and follow printed or digital information and instructions to pull the required material to complete a customers order in a quick, self-reliant, and efficient manner.
Equipment: The ability to pass all requirements for running and using a fork lift in a safe and efficient manner, while wearing and using any safety equipment such as safety glasses, non-slip hard soled puncture resistant shoes or anything else deemed necessary.
Work Conditions: The ability to perform job activities, with appropriate intermittent relief where applicable, under difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, while exposed to constant and intermittent sounds.
Climbing: Must possess the ability to climb, work, and carry items up and down ladders.
Manual Dexterity: The ability to make quick accurate, skillful, coordinated movements of one hand, one hand in coordination with its arm, or two hands to grasp, place, move, or assemble objects for orders. Coordinated with the ability to use eye and hand coordination to determine proper distances and levels when moving product from the racking system to the floor for picking.
Safety Harness: The ability to wear the safety harness to perform job functions when needed.
Lifting Capabilities: Possess the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, multiple times daily without assistance. Or up to 100 pounds with assistance. Required method is to have a partner or use available tools for any object over 70 pounds.
